Valentines Nail Designs❤

Hey readers!
So we all know valentines is right around the corner! If you going out, and need to jazz up your nails I've made some cute designs. Pretty easy for you to do yourself.

First design.
You will need;
-A white nail varnish shade, I use Models Own Snow White.
-Some red glitter dust.
- A clear topcoat.

To start off with I buffed and smoothed my nail with a buffer block. You can purchase a buffer block on eBay for 99p! I use models own one.
Once nails are nice and smooth, apply your shade of white. Make sure it's nice and thick. Just like paper white! Then whilst you nails are still slightly wet, use a makeup brush, apply some red glitter to the brush, hold you nails upside down and apply the glitter to the bottom of each nail dabbing gently. (Don't apply too much pressure as the polish will stick to the brush and it will get very messy.) I would recommend you do this over some tissue paper of even a piece of paper, to catch the loose glitter, and avoid making a mess.
Once the glitter is applied, use your white polish again to cover up any loose glitter that's fallen on the top part of your nail. Just to make it look a bit tidier.
Once this is complete wait for your nails to completely dry, either using express dry or just waiting. Once dry, apply one layer of clear top coat, to keep the glitter in place.
And that's it! Done! Here's how mine look.

Second design.
 You will need;
- a post box red shade. I use Models Own HyperGel Red Lustre.
-black rhinestones
-picker pencil
-clear top coat
-nail glue

To start off with I again smoothed and buffed my nails. Once done, I applied my Red shade all over, making it nice and thick and a block colour.
Once dried I done one nail at a time, I applied a very thin layer of clear nail glue, then applying the black rhinestones using a picker pencil. (If you use rhinestones a lot purchase yourself a picker pencil, saves time and make the process very easy.) apply your rhinestones in either a "X" or a "O" simple really. Make sure your glue is still tacky!
Once all rhinestones are applied, apply a very thin layer of nail glue just to keep them in place, as we all know how frustrating it is loosing one little rhinestone!
Then once the glue is dry apply a top coat for a lovely finished shine.
And that's it your done!
Here's how mine looked.

Hope you enjoyed my valentines designs!

Modelsown bubblegum

Hi readers!
Another half price purchase here! models own Bubblegum from the Neon collection.
This colours is so pink it hurts my eyes. This is what you wear if you love and I mean LOVE pink.
I didn't realise just how pink it was until I went outside!
It's a lovely shade don't get me wrong but a little too bright for me! I will probably use this one for designs mainly.
I was a bit weary buying from the neon collection at first but now I know why haha, I like bright colours but this is son etching else!
The picture does it no justice But here you go.
Like I said if your a pink lover go for it, if not so much, i would stay away.

Hope I helped haha

Modelsown Snow White and purple haze

I wanted to try out purple haze on a light ba kg round and how perfect that I bought 'snow white' at the same time.
Both these shades I got for half price at just £2.50 each on models own website during a 50% sale they had.
So can I just say that I have wanted a pure white shade for a while now. And this was just what I was looking for. My only negative comment about Snow White is that you need to be consistent with your strokes and it takes quite a few coats for a perfect pure white all over.
Once I managed it they looked amazing.
I then went and added just a small part of purple haze to the top if the nails.
Purple haze was actually quite thick which is what I like in glitter shades.
It's so pretty and sparkly great for a night out.
Here's what my design looked like.
I finished with a top coat from modelsown.
I was so happy with both these 2 shades and will be doing lots more designs with them.
Thanks for reading.

Models Own - Red Lustre HyperGel

Hi readers!
I have been so excited to try out models own HyperGel! I wasn't too sure on most of the shades but I went for the Res Lustre shade! It is beautiful!
So these HyperGel shades are meant to give off the gel effect. Without using UV!
And it actually works!
I got mine on a 50% sale models own were doing and it only cost me £2.50!
And you can't really go wrong at that price!
The liquid is so bright and shiny! I was very shocked with just how good it came out. It's the typical post box red! But shinier!
I didn't use a top coat, as I was just testing it out. Here's how it looks..
Very shiny, very RED, and a lovely finish. ❤
I hope you enjoy, I would defiantly recommend you buy this! You won't be let down.
Thankyou!

Avon NailWear Pro. Deep red and glitter.

Hi everyone!
So the other day my mum bless her found some nail varnishes she bought from Avon a while back, that she has never opened. She kindly gave them to me. As I love to try any nail varnish and give them a go!
The deep red colour is called - Tweed.
The glitter one is called - Opalesce. The glitter one is also a top coat.

The bottles are decent size both at 12ml.

I unfortunately don't know if they are still for sale in Avon, and my mum couldn't remember how much they were. If your a regular Avon customer, you may know?

I don't usually buy from Avon due to past purchases gone wrong. Blah blah blah.

So here's what they look like.

So I did the basic design, the dark red with the glitter on top. I didn't have to use a clear top coat as the glitter acts as a pretty good top coat.

I was really happy with both shades, I personally am not a fan of dark shades of red like Burgundy. But this shines and looked quite good. The liquid itself was quite thick but flowed well, and I used one coat.

The glitter top coat was perfect and I can see myself using this one quite a lot. I has pleasantly surprised with this one from Avon. Here's a close up.
It kind of has a blue shimmer to it in the light. Which is very cute. Would love to try this with some blue shades.

Here's the finishing look.
Hope you like.

Barry m with pink diamonds

Playing with rhinestones. :D
So I think you all know I love Barry M black nail polish. I'm going to need a new bottle soon!
Pretty straight forward design.
I don't think it need much explaining.
I applied pink rhinestones to the bottom of each nail making a small curve. Very cute. You will need nail glue for this!!!
And apply a layer of top coat just for extra strength.
Here how it looks...
Hope you enjoy reading.

Black and gold using glitter

Been using glitter on nails. At the moment I'm just practicing so their not perfect.
I bought 12 mini pots of glitter from eBay for about £3 just to get practicing. There are loads of deals like this on eBay cheap and easy.
I used Barry M black nail varnish. And sprinkles glitter from the bottom of my nail straight onto the wet paint.
I didn't use a top coat, as I was only practicing. It's pretty easy to do but to get a perfect finish I think a bit more practice is needed into different methods.
Here is the finishing look.
I will be doing some more practicing in the future so look out for future posts.

Barry M design

I fell in love with this design I'm wearing today and I wanted to share it with you.

I used 2 shades.
-Barry M Gelly MyShine Passionfruit
-BarryM Pink Glitter
I also used a small black rhinestone on each nail.

First of all Barry M MyShine Passionfruit is gorgeous. The shade is very bright and shines perfectly without a too coat. I usually wear this shade on its own but as I was applying it this morning I decided to add a bit extra to it.
I added a black rhinestone to each nail. Then I added just one coat of Barry m pink glitter. My nails sparkled so much I had to share it with you.
I hope you like. :)

Crackle is back.

I've been playing about some more with my black crackle polish which I've bad for a very long time and hardly used.

Today I will show you two designs I have done.

First is this..
Cheap and very easy to do.
I used 3 polishes
-Barry M 'Cyan Blue'
-Claire's accessories Black Crackle
-Barry M bubblegum confetti

All 3 of these polishes are brilliant especially the cyan blue. It's piercing blue and really stand out. Perfect for the Summer.
I was really please with how well all 3 of these shades went together.
And it's pretty self explanatory how I done this one shade after the other and done! Hope you like it :)

Here's another one using crackle..
Again I used 3 shades.
-Models Own scented Grape Juice
-Claire's accessories crackle black
-Barry M pink Glitter

Models own and black crackle go gorgeous together!! Very pleased with the outcome. I did add a layer or pink glitter for a top cost just to make it sparkle. Very cute design, and again cheap and easy!
Hope you enjoy!

Black crackle and nude beige

I've decided to start using Crackle again after it got very boring. I secretly miss it. I thought I'd try it with my new favourite shade ModelsOwn Nude Beige.
I actually use a cheap black crackle polish. From Claire's Accessories. I but my polish from anywhere that sells it, I heard good things about Claire's crackle so thought I would give it a go and it's the best one I've had! So since trying it ive stuck with it.
So here's what I used...
And here's the finished look...
Who said crackle was dead?
I'm bringing it back! :D

And to be honest I am really pleased with the outcome and now I'm going to play around with some more
Crackle!!

Models Own Pink Fizz Quick Review

Hey readers. :)

So here's a quick review on another models own shade. "Pink fizz"

So models own you can purchase from quite a lot of places. I get mine from Bluewater Shopping Centre on their own stall. The varnishes are usually £5 a bottle, but I got mine in a deal, just after Christmas. Although £5 a bottle is actually good value for money.

So about this particular shade, Pink Fizz.
This shade is very sparkly and I would say I'd wear this shade more on a night out. I've now tried it out properly instead of just the one fingernail. I've got to say it looks a lot better once on a finished with a top clear coat.

The polish its self is a great colour, and texture not too thick or too thin. I used about 2 coats. As I didn't use a base coat. You could defiantly use this shade as a top colour on top if a base colour for that extra shine!

It is definitely worth a try girls.
I will be using this a lot and will be playing around with lots of different base colours.  :)

Thanks for reading. :)

Models Own Obsidian Quick Review

So it turns out I didn't get much done in the nail department today. I was out practicing driving a lot for my driving test!
Blame the car..

But I did test out 'Models Own Obsidian' again!! With hope of good results..
I really like this shade a lot, and I want to to be good so bad. After paint my nails with it again, I am still not happy with it it take FOREVER to dry. It's sooo tacky and sticky it's like glue, it took me 3 attempts to paint all my nails, that's with 3 coats and then waiting for them to dry for like 10 minutes!!! They looked ok. I was pretty disappointed. The so called 'Matte Finish' does not exist. I started carrying on with my normal day (playing cheap games on my ipad) then noticed they were still not completely dry!! I found they were smudged and all over my hand how can this be!!?? After about 20 mins still not dry. Very disappointed, I immediately gave in and removed all the polish from my nails.
Let's just say not even good enough to even take a picture to show you guys. Don't buy!!!
Unless you like wasting your money and being disappointed.
Sorry Models Own but you failed with this one.

Gloopy, sticky, tacky, a pure mess.

But you've made me happy with so many different shades, ill still be buying from you, just with caution haha!

Thanks for reading, hope his helps a little with your future purchases!

More to come..

Hey blog readers!

I have all day tomorrow off and I have no plans, which means I will spend most of my day coming up with some new nail designs. :)

I have so many ideas in mind so I will be getting stuck into it tomorrow.

I've ordered myself a dressing table, as I spend most of my nail designing on my bed and with a boyfriend who can't sit still I end up messing up about 8/10.
So a sturdy surface seemed the best way to go about it. :)

And it's gorgeous....

So tomorrow I'm going to try and do some new designs and review some more nail polishes. Ill try and show you all some more of my favourite shades. I've noticed I don't record and take many photos of some of the nails I do. Which I will now for this blog I've decided to make, take as many pictures. As I know we all prefer to see what bloggers are rambling on about. :)

Here's a collage of a few nails I've done over the months...which made me realise I really really need to take more pictures to share with you all.

G'night Bloggers!

My top 3 shades of pink.

So I've been meaning to sort out my nail polishes for a long time.
I've sorted them out into groups of my favourite shades and binned all the old ones I don't use anymore. RIP :(

This made me realise just how many different shades of pink I have, and I can't bin any of them because I'm constantly using them all.....
The best ones are...
1.O-P-I POMPEII PURPLE. it's deffo not purple I know that. More of a bright Barbie pink, but it's beautiful! I use one coat and I don't even apply a top clear coat and it take literally a few minutes and your done, we all know we're paying for quality when it comes to O-P-I deffo number one onto list!

2.BOURJOIS PARIS 1 Seconde the brush is amazing why doesn't all nail polish have this brush??!!!??? You can paint one nail perfectly in 1 second like it says on the bottle. I like to call this fairy dust, as it doesn't have a name for the shade. It's cute, quick and drys pretty fast great for a quick rushed manicure before heading out. Here it is....
3.BARRY M - Pink Flamingo! This is a very popular colour and I use this one a lot that this is my second bottle. We all love a bit of Barry M, mainly because you can get any colour and its £2.99 per bottle! But I'm sure we can all agree, when using Barry m, you need at least 4 coats for a nice finish! But take the good with the bad I suppose it's pretty good for the price. Here it is....
Of course I would show you every shade and tell you a little about them but I would be here a long long time. But there are my 3 best shades of pink for you, what's yours?
Thanks for reading.

Nail tools and accessories.

Here are a few thing I use to practice nail art and designs they might be useful to you? If you think you have some useful ideas/ ways let me know, also are a few thing I use on nails a apart from polish. :)

Here are some lovely CHEAP purchases from eBay.
I had been watching some videos on YouTube of rhinestones and glitter and thought I'd love to try that. I thought I would start of cheap. In case I didn't like it. I bought two trays full of rhinestones one tray had 5 little boxes full of clear/silver rhinestones and 5 little boxes of black rhinestones. And then another trey full of coloured rhinestones all for about £4-5 :D I also purchased some glitter 12 little pots of all different colours the glitter was also only about £4, the pots may be small but I've noticed they will go a long way.
I also purchased some picker pencils...
These are made of wax! I read that these are the ultimate tool for picking up and placing rhinestones and they were right! I got 4 pencils for £2 also on eBay!

Now I just needed some False nails to practice on, as I'm a health care assistant I have to keep my nails tidy, plain and SHORT :( which is probably why I'm so obsessed with nails as I can never have mine nice.
I purchased these from eBay...
500 false nails all in different sizes. 0 being the largest nail and 9 being the smallest, which is perfect because if I wanted to use them for my own nails I can easily find the right size. You can get them in different colours but I got mine in a clear...
Which I thought would be the easiest to work with to create my own designs.
These nails for 500 were £4!!! What a bargain!

The easiest way I could find to practice my own designs on these nails was to use cocktail sticks and blu-tac that easy, just make sure they're properly stuck on there..
It's a cheap easy method for you to easily hold the nail and paint away. I did at fist try double sided tape on the back of the nail and on the cocktail stick but let's just say that was a terrible idea, if you have any other ways of doing this please let me know. :)
Here are a few quick designs I done with the rhinestones and glitter.
Thanks for reading. xox

Christmas is over, but I got lots of nail goodies.

Christmas is officially over. But I received and treated myself to some lovely nail bits and bobs.

Models own - I was shopping in bluewater and couldn't keep away from the models own stall. They had a brilliant offer on, 6 items for £15. 😍
These are the ones I treated myself too.
From left to right...
'Scented' Grape Juice- I mainly bought this one for the pastel colour. It's meant to be scented but I can say that there wasn't much 'grape' scent too it. Apart from the scratch and sniff sticker at the top. I'm not really bothered about it as, who paints their nails for the scent? Overall great pastel colour.
Base and top coat- I have quite a few base and top coat polishes, you can never have enough and I like to try new ones. I found this one quite thick, maybe a bit too thick it didn't quite dry that quickly either. But as I applied it for a top coat for a full finish. It did make my nails shine bright in the light which gives you nails a lovely finish. So I'm moderately happy with this. Although I think I do prefer my Barry M.
Obsidian- this one I didn't really like I don't know if it's because the texture of the liquid was way too thick, or the finish look. Either way I don't think I will be using this one much. It's meant to be a 'matte' finish, well it's far from that. It would be much better without the racy glitter lumps in it which are far too lumpy, you also have to apply about 3-4 coats for a black finish as it comes out more light grey.
Pink fizz- this one is the best of all 6 purchases. It's absolutely beautiful. You can use this on its own by maybe applying 2 thick coats, or you can use it as a top coat over a base colour. I personally will be wearing this on its own. It's like a glistening champagne colour. Very classy and also perfect for a night out and even everyday wear. Would 100% recommend you but this one as you won't be disappointed.
Nude beige- this one is your typical nude colour. It's very simplistic but that seems to be the 'in' thing at the moment, this shade comes out as a perfect finish, the texture is just right and you only need one coat. I would say this is a perfect shade for a casual/ everyday use. I would personally add a little sparkly or some rhinestones for a night out or a special occasion, as its a but plain Jane for me.
Scented blueberry muffin- this one again is supposed to be a 'scented' one but still Jo scent once painted on, but again I bought it for the pastel colour. This is just so cute! You can do so much with this I've tried it out with baby blue glitter and midnight blue glitter it compliments both colours and is a great base colour for any design you wish to create or play with shades of blue. It even looks great on its own with a top glossy clear coat of course.

Hope you enjoyed reading this review and hope it's of any help to your future buys! xox

Here's a start

So I've recently been getting into nail art.
I'm not excellent or at a professional level as of yet, but il be posting some photos and techniques that I'm learning. Hope you enjoy.
