I had been watching some videos on YouTube of rhinestones and glitter and thought I'd love to try that. I thought I would start of cheap. In case I didn't like it. I bought two trays full of rhinestones one tray had 5 little boxes full of clear/silver rhinestones and 5 little boxes of black rhinestones. And then another trey full of coloured rhinestones all for about £4-5 :D I also purchased some glitter 12 little pots of all different colours the glitter was also only about £4, the pots may be small but I've noticed they will go a long way.
I also purchased some picker pencils... These are made of wax! I read that these are the ultimate tool for picking up and placing rhinestones and they were right! I got 4 pencils for £2 also on eBay!
Now I just needed some False nails to practice on, as I'm a health care assistant I have to keep my nails tidy, plain and SHORT :( which is probably why I'm so obsessed with nails as I can never have mine nice.
I purchased these from eBay...
500 false nails all in different sizes. 0 being the largest nail and 9 being the smallest, which is perfect because if I wanted to use them for my own nails I can easily find the right size. You can get them in different colours but I got mine in a clear...
These nails for 500 were £4!!! What a bargain!
The easiest way I could find to practice my own designs on these nails was to use cocktail sticks and blu-tac that easy, just make sure they're properly stuck on there..
It's a cheap easy method for you to easily hold the nail and paint away. I did at fist try double sided tape on the back of the nail and on the cocktail stick but let's just say that was a terrible idea, if you have any other ways of doing this please let me know. :)
